Mobile broadband abroad

Hi

I am heading to France on holidays and was thinking of talking the laptop, just so we can use it to a bit of research if we decide to head out on a days sightseeing.

Howm much would it cost me if I bought a pay as you go broadband dongle and used it out there.

I suppose a fortune. Dont think there would be too many internet cafes in the villages in provence!

Don't do it. Unlock your current dongle and purchase a French SIM. I fear that it's going to be too much hassle for you.

Something like 1% of all VAT goes to the European Union Commission to look after the interests of a 'free European market'.

But they have not got as far as allowing one to cross a border and use that interweb thingy on a mobile device.
