Bathroom Refit Quote - Fair price?

Options
Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could offer me any advice about the following quote I have received?

My bathroom is fairly average sized, neither pokey nor spacious.

I have asked a couple of firms for quotes via websites based on feedback system and customer ratings. I understand tiling is expensive so requested a quote for all required plus all required minus wall tiling.

Quote is self explanatory in terms of what I require etc.

Work Required:
1. Remove existing bath panel, bath, toilet, sink and shower.
2. Skim ceiling with plaster.
3. Supply and fix plywood for floor tiles.
4. Install new customer supplied bath.
5. Install new customer supplied sink and pedestal.
6. Install new customer supplied toilet.
7. Install new customer supplied electric shower.
8. Install customer supplied extractor fan kit including fan, ducting and exterior vent.
9. Supply floor tile adhesive, grey grout and fix approx 5 sqm of customer supplied floor tiles.
10. Replace existing radiator with new customer supplied towel rail style radiator.
I Will Be Supplying:
1. Plywood for floor tiling.
2. All tile adhesives and grey grout.
3. All plumbing consumables:- pipework and connectors.
4. All fixings and sealants.
You will be supplying:
1. Bath, bath panel, bath taps, sink, sink pedestal and taps, toilet.
2. Electric shower.
3. Ceramic floor tiles.
4. Towel rail style radiator.
5. Extractor fan kit including fan, ducting and outside vent.
Total cost for above including labour:£950
Total cost for above plus removal of existing tiles, make good walls. Supply adhesives, white grout, tile trim and fix
approx 18 sqm of customer supplied wall tiles:£1350.

Thanks for reading all, appreciate any input! Apologies in advance if I've left anything out.

That sounds pretty good to me. Im in the same situation with a flat im buying and mine comes to £1250 to remove the old suite, fit new bath/basin/toilet and electric shower (supplied by me) and then tile the walls (tiles supplied by me and grout/adhesive etc supplied by fitter)

He's also having to replace the chipboard floor due to a leak from the old toilet. You seem to be getting a fair bit more for your money than me however Im in the south so things can be pricey down here! Is the electric work included as a proper electrician will be needed for the shower?

Good luck with the project, before you start make sure you are very confident with the ability of the fitter as I've been stung with a couple of bad plumbers in the past. Im using the check a trade website now as at least you can see feedback from other customers before you use them!

Thanks for the info, I found his chap through Mybuilder.com and he had good feedback and although slightly more expensive than the previous quotes I have received, he is an electrician so will fit the electric shower, whereas previous quoters would not. He seems more confident with the job too.

    (I am in Midlands)

I intend to have maybe one more quote before I commit I think.
