How do I find the speed?

How much is normal to upload when downloading? I thought it'd be a very small amount?

    Closed beat me to TCPView...

Do you by any chance have the Comodo Firewall installed? If you do, have a look at 'View Active Connections' which will tell you how much data has been transferred both up and down by each connection. You might want to install it anyway as it'll give you much greater control of your machine.

TCPView looks good but TBH I don't really know what to do with it!

Comodo Firewall conflicts with Kaspersky AV, I had to uninstall it...

    avp.exe:732 TCP neville.lan:4342 server.iad.liveperson.net:http ESTABLISHED

This keeps comming back on TCPView. Is it likely to be a problem? It's the only line that comes back to a website rather than my own PC.

I'd suggest a program that backs up all your music all your photos and all your documents to 'god knows where' on the internet for reasons best known to yourself would hog a huge amount of bandwidth, get yourself on an unmetered deal

If you install that it'll tell you what speed you're uploading/downloading at. Make sure you close your web browser etc, and see what kinda bandwidth you're using and let us know.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it
