lighted the patio heater last night yet i couldn't get it to stay lit? It hasnt been used or ages and there is a robins nest above the gas bottle. Is there a valve problem? If so how do i fix?

If the robin's nest is being used it is protected and shouldn't be disturbed.
If it isn't, is it relevant?

May well have a thermocouple fitted and this could be dirty or broken. Check the instructions.0
