Ive finally had enough, well its mainly my hubby's had enough of them.
Please can someone recommend the best bank for a current account - where service is key and they dont charge you the earth if you go over your limit (Or at east tell you). I deally I would like a UK call centre too where they are not manned by hamsters.
Its finally all come to ahead this month when hubby went to waitrose on friday just to get some sarnies - put his card into the machine and the shop had a power cut. Card got swallowed. He went into waitrose(just in case there was anything they could do) and they let him use the phone to call. Obviously he didnt have his details on him (as they were on the card) so he asked them if they could transfer the money to our joint account - they said no cos he had failed security, they then went on to say have you lost any other cards - he was getting a bit annoyed by this point and said "no Ive told you whats happened - its bank holiday weekend - and your telling me Ive got no money now" - they said something like we have to ask these questions blah blha. Anyway he gone to use his joint account card today at the toll both on the mototrway - and its been retained. When I phoned the bank for him they said all the cards had been cancelled!
Anyway weve had enough of them - we must have paid loads recently in charges - so am going to change my account and then start a claim to get my money back.
All suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance if you got to the end!!!
