The company is https://www.nethomeworkers.co.uk I rang the telephone number and there was a mesage saying the office was closed from 1.15pm for an hour. Got the link off of http://www.fish4.co.uk/iad/jobs/advert?adId=11652518&sid=8019CD78605F573495&pos=3&src=search&tot=6

Hope this brings a little light on the subject!!

That looks like one of the schemes where you make money by advertising the same job. It has more in common with a pyramid scheme than a genuine work from home opportunity.

I emailed them about this sometime ago

Aparrently it ws for processing some sort of info which I would have got off the intenet. I emailed them back with a lit of questions to do with the data protection act adn wht sort of sites they wanted me to get the info from. No reply. I resent the email. no reply. Funny as they seemed mad keen when I said I was up for it, but strangely quiet when I asked about a job that so clearly ( to me) didnt exist.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

i would be very wary of this.

even when i did manage to get a work from home job - my hourly rate was so rubbish i only did it once - and had to work half the night to get the job done on time! and had to get my OH to help!
  • I responded to an advertthat looks incredibly similar to that and it was a complete scam.

Basically when you pay your money they then send you an email telling you to do the same to other people, advertise a job, get people to pay £25 for info and then rip them off!

The advert I responded to was on totaljobs, I emailed the person and threatened to report them, and also told them that they should be ashamed of themselves as I am a single parent with no money so they were taking food out of my 4 year olds mouth. The person doing it obviously had some sense of shame cos they refunded my money and gave an extra £10 to buy my daughter something nice!!

Just thought I would put my oar in. Yes I would steer clear from all this type of work, data entry, paid for advertising, get paid to send e-mails and similar. They are all scams that want you to send them money first. If someone is reputable the will not ask for extortionate amounts to register with them for work. They will have an office you can visit if you want to and are always contactable via telephone.

For those of you who can type, do you do audio? If so google "outsource typing" in the UK and you can find quite a few companies who are genuine and pay about £6-8 per hour. You will need to be very accurate and about 60-70 WPM. The hourly rate is quite good if you can type fast as the rate is worked out on the size of the sound file. The last company I worked for worked at a rate of 3 times the size of the sound file so if the sound file was 5 minutes it should take you 15 minutes or less to transcribe. This is just a rough guideline and 3-5 mins over will be fine. Most of them require you to check your own work which you are not paid which is one of the downsides to this type of work and also if you get someone who is terrible at dictating it can sometimes take you a little longer. But don't forget you will only get paid the hourly rate so if you do take longer to transcribe you won't get paid for the extra time, so it's not something to get into if you are just o.k at typing.

Maybe you're wondering why I gave it up well quite simply I work full time and did it in the evenings when my husband was unemployed so it brought a bit in but the kids are still quite small and as much as I'm a very fast typist I was constantly getting interuppted so sometimes I would be working all night just to get about £14.00 and then I was shattered the next day. I just couldn't carry on.

So to sum up if you are interested in this type of work: fast accurate typing, audio experience, daytime or evenings but make sure that you are not getting interupted otherwise it will take you ages.

Hope this helps anyone looking for a bit of extra work and I haven't confused anyone.

It's just the old "envelope addressing" scam in a modern setting.

I searched on Google for Outsource Typing UK and found plenty of companies who offer this service, but couldn't quite find any link to vacancies?

Any further help on this please?

Hi sorry, something very important that i should have mentioned. You do need transcription equipment i.e. pedal and headphones to be able to do this work. Some of the companies you will have to buy it, others will hire it to you and take out a monthly payment when you invoice them monthly and others you can buy as you work, similar to the hire but you will own the equipment once its paid for. In my experience you can more than cover the cost of the equipmenht. Once you have it you can work for almost any of the companiesHere are a few companies I know do outsource:

https://www.outsec.co.uk - not recruiting at the moment but fill out their application form and they will keep it on file - it's worth a go.

https://www.dtfl.co.uk - you have to have 3 years legal experience for this company - e-mail your CV - tell Annabel, Kerry recommended you - this is the last company I worked for but gave up for the reasons in my previous post.

https://www.fingertipstyping.co.uk - you have to send them an e-mail with your CV - I think they cover all sorts of work.

http://www.uk-transcription.co.uk/ - I think this is mainly legal too.

there are loads of other companies but as I say some don't advertise but you may hit lucky and catch them when they do need someone.

    Good luck
