Data Entry From Home - good idea?

Options
I am still frantically trying to find a way to make more money with little effort on top of my full time and part time job. I saw a job advertised for a data entry clerk, working from home, getting £25 per application, paid via paypal. Is this for real? Seems too good to be true! All you need ins internet access etc and an email address.

Has anyone benefited from this?

Advice appreciated!

Please check this out very carefully - there are lots of scams at the moment, offering huge earnings, working from home, and all you need is internet and a bank account.

The only one I have come across sounded very similar but when I investigated further, you had to pay £25 first for an 'administration pack'. Most of the consumer shows tell you keep away from schemes where you have to put money upfront first so I didn't proceed any further.

I'd also love to do something from home. I'm a trained typist and can type quite fast and accurately but I'm not sure how to go about finding 'on-line' work that is kosher.

Good luck with it anyway - hope it turns out to be genuine :)
  • Does say there is a fee of £25 for training material, bit dodgey I know but I'm desperate! Advertised on fish4jobs so surely can't be totally illegal?!

It maybe genuine (well at least partly). But they may only ever give you one job which is say worth £10. That way they made £15 profit from you and every other person who signed up. If they dont guarantee you a set amount of work then I would be careful.

Which is what they're relying on. Easy money, in your own home - for someone in financial straits it's a perfect scenario.

You know the old saying - if it seems to good to be true...

Don't let the debt-free blinkers stifle your common sense.

Do you have details of the company offering this? If so, why not post it on this thread - chances are that someone hre has already had experience of them and can advise you better.

  • The company is https://www.nethomeworkers.co.uk I rang the telephone number and there was a mesage saying the office was closed from 1.15pm for an hour. Got the link off of http://www.fish4.co.uk/iad/jobs/advert?adId=11652518&sid=8019CD78605F573495&pos=3&src=search&tot=6

Hope this brings a little light on the subject!!

My oh also saw something similar with regards an admin pack and that door was quickly shut. Also when you do get the hjobs the payment may work out at so low an hour its stupid. A friend had a job which was for £40, but even at full speed it would have taken 13 hours to complete which was just over £3 an hour, so if you are going to work make it worth your while, good data entry companies pay £10 an hour.

If you can do some website promotion then I have loads available!
