Do plants grow back after being eaten by slugs?
Options
I discovered last night that my purple broccoli plants have been totally devoured by slugs or snails.
All the leaves are gone and there are just some thin stalks now.
My question is, will these plants grow back to full health or should I dig them up and plant new seeds while the time is still right?
Thanks for the advice.

If the growing tip has been removed, they're unlikely to regrow, sorryYou could plant some more seeds in a seedbed and leave these plants until they're ready, and see if they regenerate
Good luck!

My courgette that had nothing but couple of millimetres of stem left has just gave a new leaf. I replanted it back into a bigger pot to keep away from culprits, and although I have no idea when I am going to get any flowers or fruits on it, at least it is alive...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

PSB plants often grow back and as you don't need them until next spring, then they have plenty of time to recover, they will often be the only brassicas that do well after cabbage white attack for this reason. Sometimes they produce new shoots from down the stem and you get more than the one large head you normally get, although these multiple heads are smaller than the one would be.
If you have to space to leave them for a while to see if they may recover, then I would. But it does depend a bit on how big they are, the bigger they are, the more chance they will have of coming back. Tiny seedlings may just up and die.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
