Simply ring Barclays up and tell them the debt is settled and request that they stop reporting it as a Default.
Or write them a letter sent recorded.
Its simple to clear up if the debt has been paid

The data is clearly nonsensical as it goes from no arrears in March 2008 to 6 months arrears in April. You need to take this up with Barclays for it to be corrected at the source. Do not be fobbed off with the suggestion of a note on your file - faulty data should be corrected so that all those red 6s from April 2008 onward disappear.0 -
They have correctly reported it in Feb 2008 that the account was Settled(Shown by green "S") and then again in March 2008 they have shown that nothing is overdue (Shown by "0") after that they have again shown that the account is in default!!!.
Now that can only happen if the account got cleared and then once again someone has gone on a new spending spree and not paid up OR .
One thing you do need to check is just above the payment history that you have shown there will be details about the outstanding balance is that still the same(or larger ofcourse depending on the initial default amount) than the one that you had before. Secondly is it the interest that was accumalated between the date of the settlement payment and the date of statement. You can check this by checking your April 2008 and May 2008 statement.
Unfortunately if the second scenario is true then you got yourself in a spot and will now need to make the complete payment of the existing amount, then wait for a statement to come in and then clear that little bit of interest and they will update it to settled. Then close the Barclays account.
if you are sure that after the date you settled the account and they sent you a statement and you also cleared that amount then that credit report is a Joke!! anyway coming from Barclays I do not expect much!!!... Thats why I stopped banking with them 4-5 years back. If this is the case then write a letter to Barclays(cc the credit agency) and demand (no requests here) that they rectify your credit file to show the correct situation.
Hope the latter is the case saves a lot of money and 2 years of charges they must have accumalated. If you have not received statements or demand for two years I would be surprised if the former is the case unlkess you have changed addresses in the meanwhile.:beer::beer:0 -

I did consider trailing interest, but this wouldn't explain the file looking as it does. There should have been yellow 1 & 2, then red 3,4,5,6 like the previous time they fell behind.0 -
I'll bet you any money that this is either trailing interest or CPP payments which placed a balance back on the card, with the customer not paying being blissfully unaware.
Although the customer will have received statements to that effect and Degenerate is absolutely right - nothing would explain why the status goes straight from "Up to date" to "Six months in arrears" with nothing in between...
Call Barclaycard and see what they say.
Good luck, and keep us posted
EDIT: It also seems odd, that if the account has genuinely been six months behind for all this time, that it has not defaulted (Equifax report a default as a red "D" not a "6"). Definitely something awry at Barclaycard.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

thanks alot guys for ur help, the balance is 100% settled, also i have not received ne statement from them since i settled, and i remember getting a statement with zero balance outstanding, verified by the march 2008 , zero , i have only noticed it when i got credit rejected, and i decided to look up my credit report and to my amazement i see this, its recent until may 2010 that they still defaulting on my file !
would the best course of action be to write a letter or call them?
and what should i demand ?0 -
that they correct the false information0
