You get more benefits than what I earn per month!

Good luck with your debt, I am your age as well and thankfully cleared mine only last month.

I tend to agree with Percy. If you want things to get better then you will have to change

If you keep on doing what you're doing, you'll keep on getting what you've got. 00020456.gif

If you really want to change how things are then you will have to make changes in how you live and behave. Time to learn how to cook. Check locally for basic cooking lessons. A lot of adult learning places do them. It's also a good way to meet new people and try out new things.

Read through the dealing with debt diaries, you'll see what people have done to get themselves sorted. Sorry none of us have a magic wand to make it all go away, if we had, none of us would be here. I know it's hard, especially with all your problems but I'm sure if you start making small changes soon the bigger changes won't seem so bad.0002020B.gif

I know it makes you feel 00020309.gifbut if you really want to change things you're gonna have to take the bull by the horns and grit your teeth.

    0002020C.gifyou can do it.

You don't seem willing to cut back on anything, how can you get out of debt with this mentality?

Without sounding harsh, I have worked with people with various health issues (alot with mental health issues) for most of my working career. It seems at the moment you are at the stage where you realise you have a problem financially, and perhaps 'ought' to do something about it. Unfortunately you seem unwilling to even contemplate making changes to your 'lifestyle' to work through these problems. People WILL help you, but they CAN NOT do it for you. If I was you I would take a long hard look at your out goings, writing everything down on paper on a daily basis and try to cut out one thing at a time. If it is the take aways, instead of having 5 night out of 7, reduce that to 4 nights out of 7. With the clothes expense, don't shop online for branded cloths. Have one branded garment (ie a top), and then go to somewhere local and buy a cheapo brand pair of bottoms to match.

Without changing the way that you look at the problems, you can not work out a solution. Like I say I don't want to sound harsh, but try to be realistic with your expectations. good luck!

That is another thing with the current circumstances, they may and possibly will change at some point in the future. However think of it like you debt will have reduced some by that time, and change your repayment strategy as and when it happens.

I'm not good on the technical stuff, have only just posted myself recently for advice on my debts (nearly 25K and I'm 26)

But just wanted to say that I agree with a lot of what people have said, if you could make just a few cutbacks then you would start to see spare cash appear that could be used to chip at your debts.

i know the feeling of it all seeming uphill, I'm often tired from working so many hours to get the money to pay this back, but you also can do it.

It seems very depressing at times but if you keep plodding, make the changes one at a time, your lifestyle won't change drastically all at once but at the same time you'll gradually free up cash which will gradually bring the debts down and you'll start to feel better.

    Good luck

Sort out your shopping habits, seems like thats a real issue here, you can save for weeks and weeks but whats the point if you are going to cave in on a whim and blow all that hard work?

No more clothes, no more daily takeaways (maybe every weekend as a treat)

£50 is enough to feed a family for a week, let alone a lone person
