Sony Vaio VGN-NS20e_p Recovery Disks Needed!!!

Options
Hiya fellow moneysavers!!!

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NS20e_p Laptop and it has crashed. I have managed to get in via F10 recovery centre and back up all my files and pictures (Thank god) however I have not got any "System Restore Recovery Disks" to enable a factory reset of the machine.

I cannot get into windows at all, and it says that the operating system is missing (vista). I called Sony today only to be insulted by telling me copies are available.......PRICED AT £149.99 !!! who are they trying to have over, its only just over a year old!!!

I need to get hold of some recovery disks, and would appreciate any help...ie does anyone have the same laptop who could burn me some recovery disks and I will re-imburse your costs??? I understand you can make your recovery disks as long as you can access windows which I cant !!! :-(

I was recently made redundant and am trying to jobhunt....with no computer even thats getting harder now !!! aggghhhhhhhhhh Please help !!! Kindest regards Mark

When you bought it how many times did you ignore the instructions to burn the disks?????

They keep the price lower by putting the onus on the buyer to follow the instructions to burn the recovery discs.

You might not have deleted the recovery partition and so if you could try hitting F8 ( I think it's F8) several times at boot and telling it to recover to factory settings then insert a couple of DVDs and and make some recovery disks, if it works donate a tenner to a charity of your choice and think yourself lucky...
