glass falling out of shower screen

I have a shower screen similar to this http://www.amazon.co.uk/LUXURY-PIVOT-RADIUS-SHOWER-SCREEN/dp/B002RR8A6U and twice recently the glass has become dislodged from the pivoting bit and fallen out. It is thick safety glass so weighs a lot.
Thankfully it has never come out when someone has been in the shower but it could cause significant injury if it did.
I have contacted the place I got it from (not amazon) querying whether this is a fault but in the meantime am looking for some tips on keeping the glass in.
I am not good at describing these things but the glass is wedged in with a rubber seal to the pivoting bit. It is not attached with screws or anything like that, just wedged in and appears to be fairly solid (apart from when it falls out).
I have considered siliconing it in but feel I shouldn't have to. It is just under a year old if that makes any difference.

If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!

Poor manufacturing, you've def; got a claim for a replacement. You could apply a bead of dow corning clear silicion in the frame that would secure it...
but why should you!0 -
Hi
I had this problem a couple of years back on a bathroom i fitted. After about a year, the glass just slipped out of the pivot piece. It was not mechanically fixed and just relies on the seal on the glass to fit tightly into the profile piece. I ordered a new seal from the manufacturer and have had no call backs since.

Extremely dangerous......personally I would not use it.
I had the same thing happen to a similar screen....it was replaced immediately.
I thing the bonding agent ( glue !! ) had been applied wrong or onto dirty glass
by the manufacturer.0 -
The screen sounds like the one booty40UK had. The glass is held in by rubber that sits round it and is pushed into the pivotting bit. It just seems to be suction but has fallen out twice. I contacted the seller on ebay that I got it from but haven't heard anything back yet.If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

Thats probably why the screen was on ebay.
