Bought an item quite a while ago now repeatedly emailed the seller both direct email and through ebay, requested contact details and tried ringing the seller on several occassions and never got a reply in the end i opened a dispute through paypal and then after a week with no reply i escalated it to a claim i have now had an email saying that they have sent it yesterday and had been on holiday

Whatever you do, don't stop the paypal claim, you won't be able to restart it later if it doesn't turn up.0

They're trying it on, obviously.
As others have said, wait to see if it arrives and make your decision then. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

they will have to proove to paypal that they have sent the item...... if not you get a refund...... if you receive the item, close the claim, if no item received....... let the claim completesmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Yep wait until the item arrives before you do anything. It might also be worth you having a look at their bidding history - check if they have been bidding on anything since you won your item - you can do a search by username/bidder and tick the completed items box and it will come back all the things they have bid on in the last month. Also check out if they have sold anything since yours and feedback left!
Hope it all turns out - sounds like you just have lots of bad luck with ebay - you not given up on it yet?!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -

Hmmmm..... now what?
Paypal found in my favour on friday and refunded me what i paid less about a pound as the seller didnt have enough funds. I have still not heard anything more from the seller, but the item has turned up this morning postmarked 9th September. So it was sent after paypal found in my favour.
However it was a cd in a case only packaged in a brown paper envelope on opening it the cd is all scratched and the little bits from inside the cd case (from round the little circle bit in the middle im sure you know what i mean lol) are rolling around inside it so it has obviously been damaged due to inadequate packaging.
What do i do, do i return it?The Only Thing Men Can Do Right Is Get Everything Wrong
