Hi,
Can someone please recommend a VPN service, which is preferably free. I'm getting fed up with people seeing websites, etc. that I visit and then spamming me.
I do also download stuff (legitamely); so it would be great if the VPN service also allows some downloads.
I don't mind paying for VPN but me preferance would be for freeware.
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks

What exactly do you mean by "spamming me" ? Are you on about receiving a bunch of spam mail from them afterwards? If that's the case then stop signing up to them using your main email address. Always sign up to sites using a throwaway email address like yahoo, msn, gmail etc. That way you can sign up, click the activation link when it arrives and then never use the email account again and if any spam mail does come, you won't see it.0 -
I know VPN - Hideman software. You can get free 2 hours in week. I sometimes use, and very pleased.:cool:0

I use Witopia
Like you, I have tried free ones but as you say they bombard you with ads.
Witopia is a paid service but at only £2 a month it is an excellent service, fast enough to watch iPlayer and no cut off or ads to annoy me.
Witopia even gives you many choices of ip locations so you can even connect through a US location if you ever want to watch American TV programmes through Hulu. Lastly they also have a few 256 bit encrypted ip connections included if you want to do online banking very securely if you ever need to use a public wi-fi at some time0 -
Activation code for Hideman VPN software:

All watching Hulu0
