    But how will they live?!! Am assuming that he is going to get another job as a) they will need to to live and b) your job is only part time so remember that any further income would get included in any assessment.

    I expect tax credits might have a part in it, and probably optimised at the 30 hour/week threshold. There is help for childcare but its minimal. My bookkeeper suggests putting partner on the payroll instead, not sure of the legal implicaitons.
