Johnsons Dry Cleaners Have Done "something" to my coat

I put my favourtie coat into johnsons 26th may i had a phone call about 12 days ago saying as It had leather on it they would have to send it off to a special unit...
I phoned today to be told they have it back and "it looks a lot better"
To this I was like WTH I was never told anything had happened I was informed when dry cleaned the Fluid went Between the Coat and The leather and They can not remove it...Although They have Done it to the manafactuers Instructions..(upon saying it she said it was dry cleaned to it...But the reason we took it to johnsons is because it was a PROFESSIONAL CLEAN ONLY coat)
~No other dry cleaners would take it they were simply "dry cleaners"
Them sending it off was obviously now to correct what they have done and get a technical report
Im yet to see it but as its the most expensive item I have ever bought and them lying to me and no informing me something wrong in the first place is making red flags dance all around me!
im unsure whether to go and pick it up or as my mother says go to CAB first thing tomorrow so I know what my right are as it is obviously been damaged
Any input would be appreciated
Thanks xxx

That was a difficult read !
I suggest you see it first to assess the damage if any, and see what they propose."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Isn't that what Bill Clinton told Hilary...:rotfl:
Seriously though, until you have examined the coat yourself, then won't know what exactly is going on0 -
I agree - you don't even know if there's a problem yet!0

!!!!!!, you havent even seen the coat since it's been cleaned, I suggest you go and inspect it first before going off on a rant.
N.B What does this statement mean '....the Fluid went Between the Coat and The leather...' ????"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
I have read and re-read, and I just don't understand the sequence of events or where the 'lying' as taken place.0
-
The lying is they told me thet send it off to a special unit for cleaning not for a techinical report!
I seen the coat today The leather has almost faded and went all buttery soft,The fluid is where the leather trim is..there is a very dark fluid (stain/Shadow) The coats beige So it as as bad as i imagined if not worse
Where can i go from here?0 -
