Hotel Chocolat

Options
Reading the other chocolate thread made me think to put this on here. I really do think it deserves a thumbs up because although there were problems the way the company dealt with it was outstanding.

I ordered some end of line chocs as a bit of a treat for myself, the next day I was contacted to say they were sorry but they were now out of stock and would I like an exchange. I agreed to this, the box of chocs they had offered as a replacement was slightly more expensive but I was happy to pay the difference really (it's chocolate!).

Chocs turn up 2 days later, Turns out I didn't have to pay the difference, and they bunged in an extra small box also. Get in! Ready to munch myself into oblivion I opened box to find that all chocolates were seriously melted, it wasn't a warm day so I think they must have been next to a heater or something in the van??

Anyway, one quick phonecall and replacements were dispatched, no mess no fuss. Brilliant customer service, that will make me very loyal to them!

Have to join in on the praise - last year, bought a dipping selection for christmas, and the little breadstick things in it tasted stale and one of the other bits (can't remember now..) wasn't great either. A quick email, and they said I could choose something else I wanted from the catalogue up to the same value, and free postage. Excellent! To be fair though, paying those prices you would expect amazing customer service if there's something wrong.
