Budgeting/Banking Software

Hi

Was just wondering if someone could recommend some software for my pc so I could record all my banking and budgeting information, in one place?

Any suggestions would be helpful!

Many Thanks

  • I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Microsoft Money - it can be picked up fairly cheaply (and even cheaper second hand or on ebay for a slightly older version but with really no different functionality to a newer version) and it does the job pretty well.

And it has nice colourful graphs and pie charts!

  • Get Money 2004 though, not 2005. The latter had a lot of poor reviews. I believe it is basically a glorified web browser which stores your personal data elsewhere, i.e. not on your own PC!! If that's true it sounds like lunacy!

I think I have Money 2005 .... I highly recommend the Money series. Although I never use it much myself at the moment.
  • Hi

Thanks for your replies. I had heard that MS Money was American based though is that not the case?

    Thanks

There is a UK Edition :)
  • oh, thank you. :)
  • And I'd be lost without it too. I have version 12 whichever that is (think it might be 2004) and I have everything in it. Sometimes think I overanalyse it (it can take over, believe me) but at least I'm never stuck with how much (or not enough) money I have at any one time

Have always used the trusted Microsoft Excel myself, but understand MS Money is pretty spot on
