Hello,
My car was involved in an accident on the 27th March.
After a great deal of faffing around Churchill's (the chap was insured by Prudential but it was underwritten by Churchill) decided to issue a cheque for the full value of my car (£1700).
That was on the 17th of May. I waited 3 weeks, called alot and it didn't arrive. They have now re-issued the cheque and posted it out on Friday. It's still not arrived.
Has this happened to anyone else? If so what did you do?
I am bored of waiting, it's been 11 weeks and it's costing me money!

tell them to make you an electronic payment.
I've asked them to do that....Churchill say that they don't offer that and they also won't send out cheques via recorded delivery.
I find it odd that a large financial institution cannot offer an electronic payment....it's 2010 not 1910.0 -
They will definitely be able to do chaps payment but probably wont as it costs Churchill roufhly 30. If they did this for every customer it would cost them a lot.
Although, you have been kept waiting a long time. If I was in your position I would ring Churchill and ask to speak with a manager. Im sure they will do a chaps payment then :j0 -
sounds obvious but have they got the correct address for you? Could you try having it sent to your work address rather than home?
Unbelivable as it is to many, most insurers use rather old systems which deal with processing insurance claims and policies, and not making all kinds of bank payments - sadly many can only still make cheque payments to individuals.0
