Do you mean these Money Tips from the menu on the left?0 -
Hello
No I don't think it was a tip
I thing it was more of an article regarding utilities who haven't read customers meters for a long period of time.
the utilities where then penalised and had to reimburse the customer. The information I have written may not be accurate but it is something along these lines possibly in the last 3 months
Thankyou for your help.

I wondered if perhaps the information you were looking for related to:
http://www.ofgem.gov.uk/temp/ofgem/cache/cmsattach/11831_r30_05july05.pdf
which is also explained http://www.energywatch.org.uk/media/news/show_release.asp?article_id=889&display_type=archive
Basically from 2007 suppliers will not be able to bill for a period of more than a year, at the moment the maximum is two years. Prior to this announcement on the 5th July 2005 suppliers could 'back-bill' for as long as they wanted.
Hope that this helps.0 -
Thank you for your help I think it's put me on the right track
