Portable Radio for Work....

I'm using my Sony E700i as a radio but I'm getting annoyed at the plug popping out of the phone whenever I sit or walk up stairs, and it reduces the battery life big-time!

I want a portable radio player but as I've never had one before I aint a clue what to avoid/look for.

The signal here is very much hit and miss but the E700i does a good job at picking up a signal, does anyone have any experiences of weak/strong radios?

I have a mp3 player with built in radio which I use but reception is a problem. so the mp3 bit is a godsend

This is a good site for browsing products - no idea if their prices are good.
You can get an mp3 with dab - but if as you say reception is variable you might get nothing on your radio!

I have the previous version of this Roberts radio (without the built in speaker). I find that the reception and quality is excellent - and with long wave you can listen to TMS!
