    Just a thought, but if you're worried about problems with arthritis, start the dog on Cortaflex when you get him...one of our dogs tore his cruciate ligament as a pup. We were told he'd be hopping lame by the time he was 3 years old...started him on Cortaflex and he was problem free until about 8...is not 12, and a bit sore, but still enjoys his walks and gets about fine :).
  • Just remembered, we got the Hills JD light for Princess, it was cheaper online than at the vets. Also I wish I had taken more photos of her when we got her as the before and after is very rewarding. Hope it all goes well, and enjoy your new family member.
