Task Bar problem

Hello

Someone at work has somehow moved the taskbar from the bottom of the screen to the side of the screen.
He does not recall how he did it.
We have tried to resolve it without success.
Can anyone tell me how to return it back to the bottom of the screen?

ETA: One other thing.
The Goolgle toolbar at the top has a black background.
How do I change this back too?

Right click on it and make sure "Lock the taskbar" isn't ticked, if it is, then untick it.

Then left click and hold on the taskbar and drag to the bottom of the screen.

Remember to lock the taskbar again once you're done

Thanks for that.

The taskbar is now showing along the bottom of my screen when I am on my desktop icons page.
But when I go to a web page the taskbar disappears.
How do I correct this?

Right click on taskbar.
Click properties
Click/uncheck Auto-hide the taskbar
Click ok button
