Your router, your ISP or your phone line. Is there anything in the router logs saying it lost sync or whatever?
Pipex are a shadow of their former selves. They used to be a pretty decent ISP until Tiscali bought them. Tiscali went around buying ISPs and ruining every one of them. This doesn't sound like it's Pipex's fault though, it sounds more likely to be a noisy phone line problem. Maybe a broken filter, dodgy extensions or another wiring problem. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Could you clarify for me how to look at the Router Logs as i am a complete PC Dummy Will check filter out snd get back to you. :embarasseThe solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.0

It varies from router to router.
http://www.adsl2forum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=9449 should help, at least with line stats, and assuming it shows you logs it should be in there somewhere. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
does it happen roughly the same time every night?
Do you know if you are on LLU?
Some ISP's do a refresh of your broadband speed overnight (It should happen without you having to reconnect)
Some router firmware may have problems with this and you get disconnected.
Their might be an option to ignore these refreshes in your routers config pages.
it's called:Seamless Rate Adaptation
This option refers to ADSL2/2+ connection modes only.
It lets modem/router to variate line speed while connection is active without any interruption. It must be supported by our DSLAM to work.
Default setting is enabled.Laters

it's called:
If you turn it of and restart your router and see how it goes for a couple of days.
I usually turn my router off every night when it turns on it goes through the motions and connects but it seems to me like when i put a load on it as in downloading or watching I player it disconnects does that make any sense to you guys out there in techie land. The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.0 -
There have been reports of a few routers not liking iplayer, and a lot of routers don't like you putting a load on them, especially if it's lots of connections like p2p.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
