in Techie Stuff
i use microsoft works 7 for word processing which i have used for years, personal finance spreadsheets calander for my diary. if i download the free open office software will i be able to import the info on the above spreadsheets etc so i dont have to purchase an updated microsoft works. thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Try it out, it's free. When I open OpenOffice I can select to open MSWorks (wps) files. Howerver, I found this link which says it cannot open MSWorks wks files but has a workaround for this.
