Wireless Router with Sky Modem

I have a black sky router with modem. The wireless signal is pretty weak in the house unless u are close to the router. I have just bought a Belkin Play Max wireless N+ router model F7D4301 (box says for cable routers)...
1, Will this help and will it work?
2. how do i connect this up withoutout having two wireless signals? The Sky router has no switch to turn off the wireless signal
3. Is it easy to setup? any tips
