I'm wondering if this thread isn't a wind up to be honest..

I leave the house at 7.30-8am most days and dont get back in until 6.30-7pm most nights. THAT is a working day, and what I do to provide for my son. Are you seriously wondering why you dont have enough money to go round when your OH doesnt work, and you think doing 4 hours a day justifies you the spending that you do???

I find you offensive to most working parents on this forum who would all love to spend more time with their children but work their b*tts off to keep them in a comfortable, enjoyable and most importantly loving environement

here's an idea, seeing as your wife is at home, can't she run the buisness and you get a job that pays a full time salary.

I don't think anyone would work all year to have half of their salary paid at christmas. You need a regular income that you can budget to.

If you are insistent on running an ebay empire, you need to diversify and sell more than one product. You can make money from ebay but for the time and hassle, I would rather work in MacDonalds, at least you can do over time and get free food!
    Today's Debt:
    B/Card = £6,410 F/D = £3,190
    Loan = £0 Woohoo!
    Total Debt = £9500
    Debt as of 26-1-11:
    Total Debt = £14,325

Why would you insist on feeding your baby formula milk and jars of food though? Organic or not it's rubbish! And expensive rubbish!

Your OH is not working. How can she not have time to cook decent food for the family?
Added to which, your baby is five months old so shouldn't be eating solid food yet anyway.

Try baby led weaning from six months. Basically give the baby normal finger food and/or what you are eating. Toast, fruit, veg, bread sticks, roast pots etc

I totally agree with the point about the business still being kept runnign, and being run by the OP's OH.
Freeing him up to do somehting more lucrative. Better than wasting time watching Sky.

We were advised to start him on solids due to his weight and demands, he was 10.2lb at birth and now weighs 22lb at 5 months.

I'm going to start plan b along side this one to see how well it goes, won't involve investing anymore.

I don't spend all day watching tv, probably catch a few hours in the evening. I'm not work shy and have done long days before, i worked nights for 2 years.

If i get a full time job then tax credits drop hugely so what's the point? working for nothing. About time i got something out of a system when i have put a life times worth of tax in.
