I'm moving in to my new house today which has no electric or water as i bought it as a repo. Does anyone know how long it takes to get reconnected?

I assume that the services actually run to the property, but that the service supplier disconnected them?
Water - check that this isn't simply a matter of the stopcocks being turned off. Start with the one in the property and work back to the main supply in the road.
If you need to call them out, I would have thought they would reconnect "within the week" and possibly quicker.
At the risk of sounding patronising (sorry!) you probably should have arranged this soon after exchange

Thanks - it's been like pulling teeth trying to talk to someone tat can help. It's taken weeks to find out who supplied the electric as the EA was the most useless cretin i've ever encountered. I finally found out but the company said they can't do anything until they have the number on the meter and due to me not getting the keys until today and it being an apartment so the meters are in the carpark it's been a bit difficult. I'm hoping that they can do it today if they want to keep themselves as the supplier0

It always amazes me that EAs don't help with this. The vendor ought to know who the current supplier is and the EA only had to ask! They can supply what you need to know from the most recent bill - you need the Electricity Supply Number (not the customer number).
Each area also has an electricity distribution company (not the individual supplier). They have a Meter Point administration department and they can tell you the supply number. See How do I identify my local supplier
Anyway - hopefully, the supply just needs to be turned on at their end. Remember to take the meter reading as soon as you get to the meter
