Some TV Interviewers

It makes me mad when in my opinion the interviewer keeps interrupting the interviewee and not allowing them to finish what they are saying just so they make a name for themselves.
An example of this was this morning on GM TV, Nick Clegg was being asked about the potential changes in Child Tax Credits and the female interviewer just wouldn't really allow him to even get half way through an answer before jumping in with another question or repeating the word abolish tax credits, when he clearly said abolishing is not on the cards.
Anne Robinson does the same on Watchdog, like l say to me its just so they can make a name for themselves, I'm sure they don't even listen to what the interviewee is actually saying

In the case of politicians the interviewers have just got wise to them trotting out the rehearsed party line and not listening to the questions or answering them anyway. I don't know why they even bother quite frankly.Out on blue six..

The program would last for ages if every interview was allowed to run over, so I see no issues in cutting them short. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

I found it very frustrating to watch.0 -
The trouble is with these so-called "interviews" is that the interviewer is given a 3 minute slot and 10 questions to ask - they have "targets" to meet.
The interviewee never actually answers the question but just trots out a statement (here's one I prepared earlier !). The "answer", is of course as long and waffling as it can be made - because then the interviewer will run out of time and not be able to ask the one question which the interviewee may not have prepared for !
Or, if they really are stumped: "The question you should be asking me is......." is always a good fallback "answer".......
So the interviewer really hasn't got much option other than to butt in and try the next question.
It really is just a game !0 -
More to do with some people's attention span. I firmly believe these interviews are rushed because producers believe - rightly or wrongly - that viewers cannot concentrate on a single issue for more than 5 minutes. When was the last time that any interviewee on national or local news programmes was allowed to expand their arguments beyond around 15 seconds before the next question is rushed in?0

Having watched the interview this morning I totally agree.
I think the person doing the interview was Emma Crosby, and agree that she rushed Nick Clegg, not allowing him to answer, speaking over him all the time. Just reiterating the same point time and time again.
Politicians are devious devils, but she was etrememly rude and didn't give him a chance!0 -
I get annoyed when interviewers ask questions where the answer is blatantly obvious :
"Were you very upset when the lion swallowed your 5 year old son?"
"Are you happy now your 5 year old son has been found safe and well".If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I don't know why, these days, they don't just film the interviews a day early, or even before the show goes live, show the key points they need to in their miniscule time slot, then offer the full version for viewing on their website/youtube.
It's not like the potential of biased editing would be any different to the pointless, biased interruptions.0
