Interference lines on laptop display

Options
If I leave my laptop on and it goes into hibernate/sleep when it wakes up occasionally, these lines appear which look like some sort of interference (like snow on a TV).

I cannot get rid of the lines unless I reboot the laptop. It is very difficult to describe these lines but I will try! They appear as five 2cm(approx) columns of little horizontal lines across the screen.

I would attach a picture but I don't know how.

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NS30ES and I'm running Windows 7.

Thanks in advance.

My guess is that sometimes the graphics drivers don't wake up properly after the hibernation. You could reinstall the driver everytime it happens, but it's probably just as quick to reboot the laptop anyway!

Maybe try a search to see if there are some updated drivers, if it's a well kniown issue they might have made new drivers to fix it!
