They have banned my I.P address, there is ways around that i.e. change router settings but I'd much rather just get it sorted with a mod. Can't even get on the contact page and my ban is for having "multiple IDs" but I changed my ID as they don't have a feature to change username (which i find wierd)! Thanks to those who are helping :j
I've pm'd you0 -
Banning IP addresses is exceptionally stupid, especially in the UK. Hardly any of us have static IP addresses. Most have sticky IP addresses that will be reassigned after the router's been off overnight in most cases, and the rest have completely dynamic IP addresses that will change every time the router is power cycled. You generally can't ban individuals using ip bans.
So yeah, when you go to bed tonight, turn the router/modem/whatever off. Chances are when you wake up in the morning you'll have a new one. Be sure to delete cookies related to HUKD as well.
For most sites I'd say that as long as you're not using both IDs at the same time, therefore it's clear that you've ditched the old one, you won't get banned, but over there you're walking on eggshells most of the time. It's not a pleasant place to frequent. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Well it seems they like to ban everyone lol cause i've been banned to, I was unable to contact them so created another account ( or my partner did) so i could then got a definate ban for multiple id's.
To be honest everything I seemed to say on there somebody critisised, loads of people on there think there all mods when there not, The mods there are horrible not understanding at all!, if they dont like somebody they ban them, for silly reasons such as me, I had an item listed on folk they said i over bumped my thread by replying to a member that i would acceppt there offer!
You can use programmes to block your ip but they still pick up on it not sure how, anybody know a way around it please?
best bet there dont reply to anything done even speak or cough cause if you do you'll get chucked off, unless your a mod wannabee of course then you can say what you like and get away with it lol0 -

You can't give or take heat on deals, but then the heat system is fundamentally flawed in that anyone can give or take heat without justification, so they vote on whether they like the product, the brand or whatever, rather than just if it's a good deal for that particular item or not.
Add in the fact that half the people posting there (especially staff, it seems) are idiots with no interpersonal skills... You're probably lucky that you can't post there.
Pretty much hit the nail on the head there.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

I need to get my IP 'allowed' again first, in the future I will think twice about posting deals etc. and probably just be a silent member like 80% of the community.
I had multiple ID's apparently
I have used the site probably for about 5 years and had 2/3 ID's maximum! Problem on HotUKdeals is that you need to re-register to get a new ID, why not just have a function to change ID? ebay allows it!0 -
I've pm'd a mod again but are you sure you can't get on using that old id jonny1rfc.
No forums allow people to have two ID's without written permission, my husband has to use mine because it would look like I'm doubling up from the IP0
