Thoughtless neighbour painted my veg

I'm gutted!

Whilst I was at work today, my neighbour decided to spray his fence with paint.
It's come straight through on to one of my raised beds, so all my veg is covered in spots of green paint.
I've had to pull up my cucumbers because they were completely covered... do you think my other veg will be ok?
I've got cauliflowers, swede, onions and celery left in the bed.

    What a dork! Have you had a chat with him/her in case the fence needs a second coat? At least it would give him/her a chance to line your side of the fence with a sheet of plastic, and cover up what's left of your vegetables before he starts spraying. He really ought to offer to replace what you've lost as well. I think your tuberous veg will be OK, though it certainly can't be classed as organic any more. However to be on the safe side I think you should check with the neighbour to find out if the paint had any anti-fungus or similar poisonous type of additive in it. You could possibly shove your cucumber up somewhere the sun don't shine while you are round there.

    Those things need to be banned. My wife had the same thing happen to her before we were married. There was brown paint spattssr over half the garden and back wall of her house. Including the garden furniture, upvc windows, back door etc.

    My next door neighbour decided to spray Mahogonay coloured preservative onto his fence as he is hoping to sell their house soon.He moved his car well out of the way to avoid the spray that would come through the knot holes and gaps etc,but didn't realise that with the windy conditions the spray would go all over my silver car that was parked on our shared drive.I now have very fine reddish spots on my car which he has promised to wash off at some point but as yet I am still waiting.....

    Where we used to live,our old neighbour decided to use one of those garden sprayers which you use for getting rids of aphids from veggies etc.He filled it with creasote and sprayed all his garden fences in the front and back garden.He ended up spraying our white painted house with the dam stuff and out the back it came through the fence and covered my David Austen roses{yellow ones} and when we told him he just laughed at us {He was a Policeman at the time}

    I hate that advert on the tele where they are the Wood Preservation Society and can't bare to have it on.Those sprayers should be banned....

    Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago - neighbour sprayed with orange colour, still have orange spots on sunbeds, just glad I wasn't lying down at time.
  • The instructions should include a bit about protecting plants and objects on the otherside of the fence so stupid people are made aware of the damage they might cause.

    I'm sure it will be fine, tbh l would have left the cucumbers in just given them a good wash down and wait and see.....

    How stupid can people be not to spray on a windy day or think about gaps in the fence??

    Happy moneysaving all.

    Ask to borrow the sprayer so you can paint your side of the fence - wait till they have washing out or something and get to work!
