    May just have it cracked....just formatting now
    Used WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics to write zeroes to the drive then Computer Manager to initialise it.
    Finally Computer Manager to format

    lol was just about to suggest everything being greyed out at sounding like a 'needing formatting' issue, looks like you've cracked it yourself tho :)
