Non Paying Bidders

Hi, can I pick your ebaying knowledge please? I've only just started seling a few bits on ebay so apologies if this is really obvious.
One of my items sold but no payment or contact from the bidder. I waited 3 days then sent an invoice to nudge them along, then a few days later sent a message asking them to pay or at least get in touch. I then nosied around the site here and figured I should issue a NPB dispute thing with ebay. Still nothing. Anyway, I relisted it and it sold (for a third of the original amount grr!)
As I can't leave a negative fb I was hoping that there would be a reflection on their feedback by ebay but cant see anything. Should there be a strike or something somewhere?
Thanks in advance

If you filed and closed an Unpaid Item Dispute against the buyer then they will have had a strike recorded against their account. If they receive 2 strikes they are banned from bidding on a majority of items for sale on the site anyway.0

Thanks for your reply. I did do that, is it a secret strike that only they can see? If it happened again would I be able to see if they already had a strike against them?0

No, the strikes aren't visible to anyone other than Ebay.0

No but if you have your seller preferences set tightly you can exclude these time wasters from bidding on your auctions. Just block anyone who has two or more strikes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As soonlin says if you have your preferences set to prevent them buying, you can see the activity on your sales in MY EBAY, ACCOUNT>SITE PREFERENCES>SHOW ALL>scroll down to BUYER ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS LOG. Make interesting reading.0 -
Hi - Can I just ask is it better to do a NPB or cancel the transaction - I think I have been too soft but in the last 2 weeks had 3 not pay - so cancelled the transaction instead of NPB - Will the cancelling of transactions affect me negatively? - All but 1 has agreed to cancel trans but 3rd is now making me wait!!
Many thanks for help X0 -

Never do a mutual cancellation, unless buyer agrees you lose your FVFs and can still get feedback from buyer. Always go for a full NPB and weed these time wasters out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
