can anyone help me with speeding up my laptop please.
i have basic experience.
avg free anti virus, windows firewall and run a-squared malware removal weekly.
i also de-frag and reg clean fortnightly.
is there something else i can do?

thanks, using xp and ram is 256 i think.

ctrl alt del, task manager, performance, post the 3 commit charge figures

If the pf usage > 256, you have too many programs running for the ram you have, so need to prune the startup applications.

remove the http/www bits from the log
