    If you just want to convert to MP3 I find the free version of RealPlayer is fine. It downloads and converts with a couple of clicks.

    I'll leave the copyright issue to your conscience.

    I have RealPlayer but not sure what you mean by copyright issue. I didn;'t know RP converted downloads!

    Depends on your RP settings but if you right click on a youtube video one of the options should be Download this video to realplayer. Select and it opens the downloader - similar to below.

    Once the download is complete you'll get a window similar to this.

    With the free version of RP the only option is convert to mp3. Click the start button & the youtube video is converted to an MP3 audio track.


    re copyright - I'm no expert but I'm sure that copying a youtube video is often no different to most video & music piracy

    Its weird because my pc went mad at christmas so I got rid of everything (I sorted it in the end as it was itunes causing computer to crash) but since downloading RP last week , I no longer receive the "download video" option when on youtube. I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong.
