What happened to second chance offers?

I usually sell as a buy it now but had a few odds and ends to sell and put them on as an auction thinking that if I got more than 1 bid I would do a second chance offer to get rid of the rest. But I can't find that option - has it gone or just hiding somewhere?

I think they only apply to identical items. So if you, for example, sell a dvd which you have two of, you can offer the second one to another bidder after the auction has ended. If you want to go fast, go alone
If you want to go far, go with friends0 -
If the option isn't there at all then that might mean you have an underbidder who has opted out of SCOs. I had one recently, I hadn't been aware previously that they could do this.
Or, it could be just another ebay glitch.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you're logged in on the item sold page then it should have a line on the top left to send a second chance offer, the next page will give you a list of bidders and their high bid price, if there are no other bidders or any bidders have opted out of receiving SCOs, you will still be given the option to go to that page.
As far as I know there is no reason for the link not to be on the item sold page.
You should also be able to access the link from the number of bids page, there will be a line next to each bidder (unless they have opted out) to send them a second chance offer.
It is nothing to do with how many items you have, as second chance offers are used if a bidder retracts after the auction as well as if you have more than one item available..0 -
on your ebay "control panel" should be a setting saying "allow sellers to send me a second chance offer" (not sure how that is worded now...). the default used to be "YES" ages ago, not sure now, chances are your buyers all opted out?
Only those who choose to have a 2nd chance offer sent to them appear on your "send a 2nd chance offer" list.*_*_* Department of Redundancy Department *_*_*0 -

They should still appear on the list, but you just can't click on them, it used to show if they have opted out (I haven't looked recently), we still send out a lot of SCOs and haven't seen any changes.
The last one I had like that I had a list of underbidders all with the tick box by their name so I could add them to my SCO. I also had a note to say there was another bidder who had chosen to not receive SCOs, but I didn't even see them on the list.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you start at the item sold page and click on 'send second chance offer' you get a list of possible bidders to send to, if any bidders aren't there then they have opted out or you have already sent them one.
It still stands that even if there are no possible buyers to send second chance offers to there should still be a link on the sold page..0
