Hi,
I am considering increasing my RAM because things are a bit slow with more than two things running at once. The motherboard I have at the mo.
is Board: MSI MS-6593 1.0
Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 07.00T 04/02/0
And it does have a free slot available.
What I cannot figure out is
1; Should I just add 256mb of ram or
2; get a 512 ram chip and add it ?
Oh and also, how do I find out if the board will accept DDR RAM, my current chip is not DDR.
Many thanks for any help forthcoming.

Thanks for that woo I just tried them but as good and all as their memory advisor tool is, it doesn't have my 4 year old multivision "vision 320 XP system" on their database so 'm still pretty stuck with which way to go !Education is compulsory, school is not.

how sure are you of your motherboard model?
well probably more sure than that of my ability to read... you can find it by make and model at crucial

Definately pursue crucial. I had confused myself stupid for many weeks trying to work out what type of memory I needed. Then 5 minutes on their site and all was sorted0
