HSBC UK Call center?

Sorry if this has been asked before, or is in the wrong place.
Is there any way of getting hold of someone in the UK when dealing with the HSBC?
Had a few issues and ended up going over my over draft. I have no issue paying them, it is, after all my fault that I'm in debt, but I have tried on numerous occasions to get it sorted with them, they've given no help, just called anything up to 10 times a day asking for token payments. When I asked to try and arrange a payment plan I was told they couldn't do that, but could I make a token payment. The harassment got so bad I ended up changing my phone number as I was spending an average 2-3 hours a day repeating myself to various HSBC reps.
Thanks to some help from the CAB I'm now in a position to sort it out and pay off the debt, but they've advised offering lower sum of cash as full and final payment as a lot of the cash owed is charges.
Anyway, my question is, how in the hell do you get a UK rep when calling them? Not a single person I've spoken to in the over sea's call centres can understand my accent (damn scouse accent!) and I end up not getting anything done as a result of the language barrier. I just spend the phone call repeating various details.
Thanks for any help.

Well, tried the Leeds call centre, they said they don't deal with arrears, gave me the number to money management, who said the same, I needed the corrections department and they were all over seas.
Spent the next two hours speaking to four different people who couldn't understand me or whom I couldn't understand. Got absolutely nowhere. In the end I told them to pass the debt on to a debt collection agency and I'd talk to them. Might actually be able to have a conversation that way.
Cheers for the help folks. I'll be glad when I'm shot of HSBC.0
