Having to Manual connect my Internet

Options
I recently had to change my WEP key (as i forgot the previous one), since doing this everytime I restart my laptop, i have to go to run "services.mcs" then to wireless zero configurations and choose start (as its always at stop), is there a way that the internet will just connect manually without having to do this everytime? Also, should it be automatic that is selected?

Thanks

Set the service to Automatic, and then start it - next time you reboot it should start automatically.

If not, it may be having trouble starting - in this case, right click My Computer, select Manage, open Event Viewer and see if there is anything in the Application Logs - if so, post it here and someone should be able to make sense of it.

Have you tried setting the service to restart if it fails?

You go into the properties of the service and then on the recovery tab and set as many of them as you want to "restart the service"

I would also check services tab in start>run>msconfig to see if it is actually down to start at startup.

You could also go to manage wireless networks (location varies on OS) and delete all the wireless networks and reconnect to your new one.

There isn't any third party wireless program involved is there?

Once you get this fixed, assuming you are running WEP encryption, upgrade to a better encryption like WPA if you can. WEP isn't secure in the slightest.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it
