Accomodation ideas - Cotswolds/Gloucestershire with toddler

We are going to a wedding in the Stroud area in September, with our 2 year old, and I am looking at accommodation for us all. We will need to stay for a minimum of 2 nights as we are travelling from London, but I'm wondering if it might be more value for money getting a cottage or staying in a holiday park etc and stay a couple of more days? There is also a possibility of sharing with other friends who are coming down from London, so maybe a larger cottage?
We would like to stay as close to Stroud as possible, as we'll be taking the toddler back early evening and OH will be going back to the reception.
Also any toddler friendly activities as well.
Thanks
