Appliance Insurance??

Options
Hi I would like to insure my kitchen appliances (i.e. fridge, dishwasher, washer) a neighbour once mentioned she had 3 appliances insured for around £11 per month, does anyone know which companies are reliable & not scams.

Thanks in advance.

Put say £20 a month aside by standing order into a sep. account, it soon mounts up, if a repair is necessary to any of them, use that money.
Silly giving money to a company just in case an appliance breaks down.

Say £20 a month for 5 years, - £1,200, its very unlikely that breakdowns/repairs would cost you that much to be honest.

Don't have anything to do with appliance insurance. As McKneff says, put the money by each month and you will soon have enough to pay for any possible repairs, or more to the point, replacement. In my personal experience appliances of all types are incredibly reliable.
I can afford anything that I want.

I recently rebuilt my kitchen and installed 6 Neff appliances. I took out the Neff Kitchen Plan, extending the warranty to 5 years for £240, at 24/month.

How many reports are there of appliances going wrong and companies charging £100 just to come out ?

Well worth the peace of mind.

All insurance policies are priced to make a profit for the insurer so, in the long run, they are not worth the money. Unless you cannot afford to pay for the repairs if and when they are needed then you are better off not having the policy.

Dont be silly, local companies are desperate for your custom and wont charge £100 call out fee. Most locals will nto charge a call out fee at all.

£240 a year, you must have more money than sense.

That's what insurance companies prey on.
Look at the LG thread, where someone was trying to get a replacement fridge after a couple years, insurance only wanted to payout half.
