...I did have a read through the stickies, my first time in this forum!

Essentially, I'm looking for the best 0% interest free for xxx months card - I've got a small amount of total debt (I owe about £400 in total) and I'm excellent at paying it off, I just like to do it say £40/50 a month.

I'll normally use my credit card to buy things with, but I usually pay it off by the end of the month, I've never really incurred any charges. I've got plenty of savings so I could in theory just pay off the £400, but I like to keep my savings for er...savings!

So I'm wondering: as someone with quite a small amount of debt and who's good at paying it off, what's the best credit card (0% interest?) for me? I've currently got an HSBC credit card and an excellent credit history, according to Experian. Sorry if this isn't the right place!

I would say that it depends on your circumstances and what kind of cards you currently have. A good guide is to visit https://www.stoozing.com. Good luck. Hope this helps.
  • £400 isn't worth your time and energy. Why don't you just pay off your small debt with your savings and become something that many people on this board would give their right arm to be, debt free :T
  • I guess - it's just that I like having the choice of putting stuff on a credit card every now and then?

If you want to build a credit record get a basic card (even if the APR is high really) and just make sure you pay it off monthly. Use it for things like shopping/petrol etc.

Then later on if you want a card for particular things (big purchases etc.) you can find one with a better APR.

If you do wanna find a card which gives 0% interest you need to find one with NO balance transfer fee or you may find that your paying more out in fees than you would be if you just cleared it off and didnt gain any interest
Save a life. Learn emergency first aid.

Contact your local college or first aid provider to enquire about free courses in your area.

Already a first aider? Have you updated your first aid to the new 2005 guidelines? Most providers should now be training the new (and more effective) CPR protocols, see if they are offering refresher courses near you.
