ESA medical assessment advice needed

Hi can anyone please give me some help and advice.
I claimed for ESA a couple of months ago, got a doctors sick note, blah blah have been getting ESA money every 2 weeks, got sent the ESA questionnaire, which i filled out with great difficulty and sent back, then 3 days ago i get a letter saying that i have got to make an opp for a medical assessment, and i am absolutely worried sick about going for this medical !!!, due to the fact that i suffer with anxiety and feel i can not sit in a room being probed about what is wrong with me, i have not got anyone that can come with me and i dont know what to do???
I am in a terrible state about this and just need any advice or help that anyone can give me, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do not have any much choice but to attend the medical if you want your benefit to continue.

The only other option would be to have a medical assessment at home but you would need the backing of your GP and to have ATOS agree to this.
