Win7 System Image

Options
My Windows 7 has now decided that it will not do a "Create System Image" anymore fault No:-"0x800706be". I have been on to the Microsoft Site with the above number, it just goes back to to WinXP 2005. saying their is a download for it. Buts its not for Win7. I can "Create a Backup" no problem. But not the system image.
I have just enrolled to this site and any help would b very greatfull.

  • Dear Darkman,

Try downloading a copy of Drive Image XML. It is a free piece of software that should enable you to Image your Windows 7 install no problem. I use it to image many systems here, so you will be quite safe with it.

    Regards

    Simon.

You need to be a bit clearer, on the one hand you say it will not do a "Create System Image" anymore fault No:-"0x800706be" and on the other you say I can "Create a Backup" no problem

    - when you GoTo : backup and restore / create a system image / where do you want to save the backup / - and you tell it where you want it to save it to

    - that is both the system image and the backup - they are one and the same thing !

So can you explain your problem again friend ?
