New boiler and bits- fair quote?

Hi,

I am getting a new boiler installed, will need some upgrading of existing gas feed and flue.
Provide and install Worcester 25SI Combi boiler
9meter flue terminating on roof level
Running up rated gas feed to boiler location (5meters)
Powerflush existing heating system
Strip out all redundant plumbing pipe works, tanks Etc
£3950 excluding VAT.

Plus I am looking to get a new water mains feed from the front to the boiler location, shouldn't be too tricky and have been quoted £500 exl VAT.

Any thoughts on the above much appreciated.

Well for that boiler and flue, I would think you have been quoted about £1200-£1300 too much.

That combi is a very low powered on, no good for anything more than a basic shower and hot sink/basin taps.

I would suggest getting another couple of quotes, including the new water supply to the boiler. That boiler will only give around 9-10 l/min hot flow at best, so why the need to upgrade the cold supply?

I have found that boiler £840.98 on www. heatandplumbtastic.com i would buy the bits yourself and then get the guy to fit it.
