Slimmer xbox a month away!!

I had an xbox from since they first launched. I recently got the red rings for the second time and no longer had any cover.
I decided to splash out on an elite system in the hope that it would last longer.

I bought the new console under a month ago and now im finding out for the same price i could have had a quieter smaller better model in a months time.

If you still have your xbox phone microsoft up and see if they will repair free and then sell it on maybe.

Other than that no you have no recourse

Nope, there's nothing you can do unfortunately. The retailer couldn't have possibly known about the slim xbox.

Besides, I'd hold off buying one until they've ironed out the inevitable hardware issues. It might be slimmer, quieter and be red-ring free, but who's to say it won't also spontaneously combust?

answer is no you cant, new things get released all the time, you chose to buy an elite and you werent forced to do

Usually when new consoles or console upgrades are released, retailers (at least those that sell preowned hardware) will offer pretty good trade in deals. Won't recoup all your money though, and to be honest it most probably won't be worth it, from what I understand that actual hardware in the new 360 is the same (so it won't make any difference playing games), it just has a sleeker case and built in WiFi.

its also supposedly quieter, has a bigger hard drive of 250gb

it quieter because it only has one fan, let hope its large enough to sufficiently cool it otherwise it will up the rate of RROD just a they seem to have reduced it.

They've been doing 250gb hard drives for at least 6 months. I got one myself a super elite (from what i remember thats what it is called) Around mid-December.

Got a good deal for it too from Tesco.com.....super elite console, 2 controllers, 2 headsets, network adapter, MW2, forza 3, 13months of live and i'm sure there was something else i'm forgetting.

It has lost quite a bit of its value (trade-in wise) where my ps3 is worth near enough the same as they are to buy brand new (although it didnt cost me anything as i won it )
