Hope you can help. We've had several quotes now for refitting our main bathroom and ensuite. We live in Bucks, ear Thame, HP18, and are supplying everything except building sundries, ceiling lights and extractor fan. Quote for our ensuite is as follows:
Remove all eisiting - shower, toilet, sink, tiles, lift lino
Plaster walls & ceiling
Install wall hung unit, make adjustments to hot/cold and soil pipe as needed.
Fit closed coupled pan, connect to exisiting hot/cold and waste
Install shower tray and connect to existing waste. Fit shower and connect to existing.
Supply and fit 6 ceiling lights
Supply and fit extractor fan
Tile floor 7,5 sq m and walls 9 sq m
Install towel rail
Remove waste
Total £3150 plus VAT
We've had other quotes which have been up £4500. Apparently its a 5 day job. If trades get £200/day, wondering how it reaches £3K, anyone help here?? Cheers

When I had my bathroon done the electrics bill was a huge part, £55 to supply and fit each down light soon mounted up. I paid £400 intotal for 3 lights, 1 extractor and a mirror light and to say the shower was fitted ok.0

Doesn't seem that far out on an unseen basis. £4.5k is far too expensive and I don't trust the five days either - more like 10 in reality.
