Vista and Messenger

I am sure this question has been asked before, so i apologise for asking again. Does anyone have a patch to enable me to use messenger on my vista laptop. I have gone back to factory settings, and it is playing up all over again. I remember getting a patch before and it worked (on and off). Tried all the normal bits and pieces they recommend etc all to no avail. Any help please.

Yeah latest version all in stalled. If you put theproblem in to google many people have the same problem, but no one seems to have the answer - arghhh.

I have Vista and messenger on my laptop and dont need a patch,

Vista 32bit or 64bit?

What actually happens when you try to install it? (or have you installed it in which case what happens when you try to run it?)
