0% card second time round ????

Options
I need a 0% credit card which you can transfer money into your bank account.
I believe EGG and MINT cards are the current ones to go for.

I have already had these cards in the past and payed them up and closed the accounts.

Would i be eligable to be accepted again for the 0% offer ??

Thanks in advance

Most cards allow you to transfer cash into your bank however these are usually not classed as balance transfers but cash advances - which often do not come under 0% offers.

If you have a great deal and a spare credit card I suggest you balance transfer the amount you need to this "spare" card and then when the balance is on that card ring and ask them to move the cash to your current account as you did the transfer by "mistake"

Either that or have a look around the stoozing board :)

You did not say how long ago you had these cards. The Egg Money card doesn't give you a 0% option really it just allows you to transfer psoitive balances to another account.

All cards will allow you to re-apply but not sure about mint or Egg.

Think you will need to wait 12 months from when you closed the account for both those. Wouldn't see any reason then though why they wouldn't give you the 0% deals

Egg Card is definitely 12 months. Mint is 8 months.

    However, 2 points...

Mint are to stop issuing 0% cheques (the normal SBT route) from September 1st - today! They do offer a 'Money Transfer' facility, but that is charged at around 14% APR and the maximum you can transfer, called your 'advance limit', is 50% of your credit limit. Obviously, if you went that route, you'd need to BT the debt off the card and on to a 0% BT card pretty swiftly...which brings me onto my second point...

If you need a second (0%) BT card, you may as well go the Egg Money/0% BT card route. I'm fairly certain that the fact you've recently cancelled an Egg Card shouldn't preclude you obtaining an Egg Money card, but give them a ring to make sure.

You need to use Mint cheques to transfer money into your bank account at 0%.

Unfortunately, Mint plans to discontinue credit card cheques after 1 September 2006. They will not be reinstated until January 2007 at the earliest.
